Chi - promote life energy with the help of Feng Shui

In Feng Shui, the Chi plays a role, whichever way it isis referred to as “vital life force” or “life energy”. essential role. In India it is called Prana, in Japan it is called Ki. Our entire universe consists of this subtle matter.

As a Feng Shui consultant, I try to get the supporting life energy flowing again in your rooms.

The term Chi is also used in Asian medicine, among other things. In healing medicine it is said that the body has many energy pathways, also known as meridians. They are responsible for transporting life energy.

Depending on your health, the chi can flow freely or blockages occur during transport. If life energy cannot flow freely in the meridians, for example due to unhealthy lifestyles, this leads to health problems. As humans, for example, we absorb chi through our food. If good quality, ideally organic food is consumed, it can have a positive effect on our well-being and our body.

Find and clear energy blockages

In Feng Shui it is comparable. Our living environment shows us exactly where things are good in our lives

or where things are difficult and tiring.

As a Feng Shui consultant, one of my tasks is to find energy blockages and then get them flowing with targeted change measures. This can have a huge and amazing impact on your well-being.

Chi is always mobile. It flows fast or slow, straight or in waves. The flow behavior of chi can also be compared to water. And just as you can change the flow speed and direction of a stream or river, the flow of chi in the home environment and garden can also be changed.

When we humans are on a path that only goes straight, we often find it difficult to stay motivated. But if we move along paths that are curved, we make good progress and often don't realize how much we have actually walked.

Chi should flow freely

And this is where Feng Shui comes into play. The movements in your rooms should be gentle and flowing. Rooms and furniture should be arranged in such a way that the chi can flow freely and that each individual room is well supplied with life energy in order to be able to support us positively.

Take a look at your home. How is the energy flow in your rooms?

Where do you like to stay and feel comfortable and safe?

Are there areas or rooms that are neglected and that people don't like to spend time in?

In the following picture you can see an example of what the energy flow was like in an apartment before a Feng Shui consultation.

The chi had problems getting into the apartment as soon as the front door was opened. And as you can see in the picture, the main energy goes directly into the toilet. This indicates a very low energy supply to the apartment and therefore to the residents.


The consequences can be: tiredness, listlessness, lack of desire to tackle things, lack of motivation, the feeling of “not having arrived”.


The dashed lines represent the further energy supply. The living room, kitchen, children's room and bedroom are only supplied with a small amount of chi. In the bedroom, the energy even disappears directly through the window opposite.


Sat Chi - Cutting Chi


There are also energies that influence you negatively. Here we speak of Sat-Chi or Sha-Chi.

Long, straight stretches are unnatural construction methods that do not exist in nature. Streets that run directly towards a house mean that the residents are constantly exposed to very strong energy. This can lead to unrest and stress among residents. The consequences can be constant “being on the move” or arguments among each other.


As you can see in the picture above, there should not be a staircase, toilet or window opposite the front door. The energy accelerates down the long, straight hallway and immediately disappears back outside through the toilet or window.



Sat-Chi also arises from edges, corners of houses, lanterns or sharp objects. Every sharp corner of furniture acts like knives and creates negative energy. You shouldn't expose yourself to these energies long-term. For example, if you sit with your desk in front of an edge like this, this can lead to difficulty concentrating and learning problems.


So-called chi brakes can help with long distances. This can be a carpet with stripes running across. Plants in front of an edge or in a long hallway also slow down the flow of chi.
